Retreats and Quiet Days

Until our guest house is built, our facilities are limited, but we warmly welcome individuals and/or groups to what we have.
We offer quiet days to individuals or groups with the possibility of attending Mass and the Divine Office with the community. Members of the community are available to give talks to groups, or spiritual direction, or simply a listening ear to individuals. At this stage we are, sadly, unable to provide lunch but hot drinks may be made in the guest kitchen to accompany packed lunches.

Stanbrook Abbey bookshop, open almost every day, sells an interesting selection of books and a variety of crafts produced at the monastery: cards, home-woven goods our home-confected chocolate and knitted items. On a good day, it is possible to enjoy our stunning view from one of the benches provided or to walk in the forest only yards from the monastery.
