Compline is at 7.30pm currently. Please note that Mass is at 11am on Friday 14 August; there is no Mass at 9am that day.

Solemn Profession Novena

Traditionally, at Stanbrook, the junior nun who is approaching the time of making her solemn vows for life composes her own prayer which is distributed to family, friends and other monasteries throughout the world in order to ask their prayers. The prayer is traditionally translated into Latin which reflects the universality of the Church.
The nun may also choose supporting texts from Scripture or spiritual texts.
We invite you, too, to join in this prayer as we approach the day of Sr Therese’s Solemn Profession:

On the feast of St Maximilian Kolbe  14 August 2026

Sister Thérèse Murphy

Will be consecrated to God & make her Solemn Profession

under the Rule of St Benedict in the Abbey of Our Lady of Consolation

Pray for her

 

Then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. (1 Corinthians 13:12)

 

O Lord, out of your loving mercy you chose your handmaid Thérèse.

Grant that, growing always in the virtues of humility, fortitude and obedience,

she may rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, constant in prayer,

and so sing forever of your love.  AMEN.

 

Domine, misericordia tua ancillam Teresam eligisti.

Praesta, quaesumus, ut in spe gaudens, in tribulatione patiens, in oratio instans,

humilitate, fortitudine et obedientiae semper cresceret,

et misericordias tuas in aeternum canteret. AMEN.
